The 2021 awards-winners list of the Higher Education Press Cup” (CUMCM) has been unveiled. Students from SWJTU have weathered through all rounds of selection before ranking first among the 45,075 teams. Finally, the students of the University lifted for the first time the “Higher Education Press Cup” trophy, the highest award for undergraduate contestants, 30 years after CUMCM was launched and 23 years after the award set up, marking a breakthrough of historical significance in the event. As the second one from Sichuan Region to win the prestigious award throughout the history of the Contest, SWJTU team also raked in three first prizes and three second prizes at the national level.

They came from 1,566 universities and colleges/campuses of China and foreign countries including the US and Malaysia. In the competition for undergraduates, 292 teams (0.65% of the total) were awarded the first prize and 1,197 ones (2.66% of the total) the second prize. Ultimately, only one team of the 292 would be crowned and granted the Cup by the Organizing Committee.
